Crash Market

I just picked up a book called, "TheTroubled Money Business" from 1991 that looks like a good explanation of ' the beginnings of the end' which we are now watching unfold.

Why do I keep pointing out this stuff which has been predicting the current problems? One reason is it demonstrates that world credit markets, stock, commodity and bond markets have just hit a "Tipping Point" or the 'Perfect Storm' created by negative variables gaining such weight as to cause this collapse that is taking place like a giant domino effect.

Most striking is that in previous crashes people kept trying to predict bottoms until they became exhausted by being wrong so often. According to Merrill Lynch today, we'd better get ready to bungy jump with the markets because there is lots of horrendous economic news to be reported as conditions worsen - a frightening analogy. When all hope is lost and these thing drags on for many more months with all its consequences of failing businesses, unemployment, third world hunger and possibly more wars, the bottom will have arrived.

Paradigm shift: Have we just witnessed the end of Capitalism as a System. I just bought an old book called "Post-Capitalist Society" by an author I greatly admire, Peter F. Drucker that he wrote in 1993. Be forearmed if we are facing a whole new way of doing things when the markets finally shake out. This is not a normal Bear Market!

All in all, what do I know? Time to crawl back into my cave.
